Amsterdam is around a one-hour flight from most UK airports, with multiple daily services. There is also a direct Eurostar from London St Pancras to Amsterdam Centraal in around four hours. Driving via ferry or the Eurotunnel is also popular. All main club venues are within easy reach of Amsterdam Centraal by tram or taxi.
Return flights from the UK typically range from £80–£150 if booked in advance. King's Day is one of the busiest travel weekends of the year so book early for the best prices. Flights are not included in your Amsterdam Forever ticket price.
Amsterdam is compact and very easy to get around. Most venues are walkable from the city centre or a short tram ride apart. Trams run late into the night, bikes are widely available to hire, and taxis operate 24/7. The GVB app is useful for tram routes. Note that King's Day is extremely busy — allow extra time between venues and consider walking where possible.
Anywhere in or close to central Amsterdam works well. Popular areas include Centrum, Oud-West and De Pijp — all well connected by tram and close to the venues. King's Day weekend is one of the busiest in Amsterdam so book accommodation as early as possible.
Yes — King's Day is one of Amsterdam's busiest weekends with over a million people in the city. Hotels and Airbnbs book up months in advance and prices rise sharply closer to the date. We strongly recommend securing accommodation as soon as possible.
Wristbands are collected in person — they are not posted out. Collection points are: Friday 24 April at The Bulldog Palace, Leidseplein 15 (12:00–19:00); Saturday 25 April at Pier 14, De Ruijterkade 14 (from 13:00) and The Black Dog, Spuistraat 223a (from 16:00). Bring your booking confirmation and valid photo ID. You cannot enter any event without your wristband so collect it before heading to the venue.
Boat parties are a separate add-on ticket at £45 per person and are not included in the weekend ticket. There are two boats running simultaneously on Saturday 25 April afternoon — the Jungle/DNB boat (14:00–18:00) and the Hardcore boat (15:00–19:00). Both depart from Pier 14, De Ruijterkade 14, behind Amsterdam Centraal. You can only attend one as they run at the same time. Book at amsterdamforever.com/book-boat-party.
Both boat parties run on Saturday 25 April afternoon. The Jungle/DNB boat departs at 14:00 and returns at 18:00. The Hardcore boat departs at 15:00 and returns at 19:00. Both depart from Pier 14, De Ruijterkade 14, behind Amsterdam Centraal Station. As they overlap, you can only attend one — choose your sound and book in advance as spaces are limited.
